A stunning, bespoke (1993), heavyweight navy hunting coat by Master tailor Gordon Weatherill.
Gordon was Bernard Weatherill's brother and had his tailoring business in Guildford, Surrey.
He was every bit as talented as his brother & his pieces when, rarely we find them, are glorious.
This is a 36" coat with a length of 27" down the centre back seam.
The shape of this coat is stunning.
It has a beautifully flared skirt and is cut in the hacking style with a 3-button front, and single vent to the rear.
It is a heavyweight hunting coat but it would also suit high level showing.
Condition: It's in superb condition externally. Internall the lining needs two repairs: firstly the restitching on the centre back seam, and secondly on a small portion of the armpit, as photographed.
Otherwise in excellent condition & a superb find.
It will be sold without buttons (the buttons can be returned to us).
Bust 36" (18" across the breast)
Length 27" from bottom of collar to hem
Shoulder to shoulder 16 1/2"
Outside sleeve 25" or 16 3/4 from armpit to cuff, with hem available
