Beautiful, 1961 navy coat by Bernard Weatherill, 38" (VTR760)

Navy Bernard Weatherill ladies' coat

A beautiful, medium-weight bespoke coat by Bernard Weatherill, tailored in 1961.

This is a glorious coat. It would make the ideal showing coat for major event such as HOYS, or for warm 'high days and holidays' hunting.

It currently carries a navy velvet collar.

It is in wonderful condition & the most elegant shape.

There is a tiny fabric scuff on the right wrist but this is not in any way significant.

- working button hole

- currently with velvet over-collar

- two sloped skirt pockets

- internal hidden breast pocket

- singe vent to the rear

- 3-button front (plain black buttons currently)


Bust 38" (19" across bust when laid flat, buttoned).  It might suit a 36" or 38" bust depending on layers.

Length 28 1/4"

Shoulder seam to shoulder seam at the points 17 1/2" (this is about an inch below collar)

Outside sleeve 24" with additional  hem

Inner sleeve armpit to cuff 16"
