An absolutely stunning, vintage navy coat by H. Huntsman of Savile Row, tailored in 1967.
Huntsman is one of the finest tailors of ladies' equestrian clothing.
This is a glorious coat. The shaping is stunning - creating a beautiful silhouette.
It is in very good condition inside and out.
There is a pin prick hole on the right back sleeve which has been darned. There are some very faint thread scratches on the right sleeve at the elbow. There is a segment of fabric on the vent which has been replaced with the same fabric (see photo).
Cut in the traditional hacking style with a single vent to the rear and two sloped outside pockets.
It has the classic coffee-coloured H Huntsman silk lining to the upper body and showerproof lining to the skirt.
Currently with hunt buttons attached. Buttons to be returned to VTR.
Bust measures 36" (18" across bust). This coat will suit a lady with a 34-35" bust ie allowing 1-2" leeway.
Shoulder to shoulder 15"
Sleeves 23" (with 2 1/2" of hem available for letting out).
