A beautiful charcoal hunting frock coat for a gentleman. Chest 36".
This glorious coat was made bespoke in October 1926 by H Harris & Sons of Reading.
It is beautiful and in good condition. Charcoal is often overlooked but incredibly smart and LOVED by those who know their hunting onions.
It was made as a 4-button coat but it works as a 3-button coat and that's what it has most recently been worn as (the topmost button has been removed).
- frock coat style
- working cuffs and button hole
- detachable storm collar
- tattersall lining to the upper body with 'quilt' stitch for warmth - such a lovely feature on the old coats
Condition report: It's in good condition all over though it does have some imperfections to note:
There are three darns to mention: right bicep, right back shoulder, left back of sleeve. The lining at both armpits has been darned/repaired.

Length from bottom of collar to hem 32"
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam 17 1/2"
Outside sleeve from top of shoulder to cuff 26"
Sleeve length from armpit to cuff along inner seam 19 1/2"
